Special Features

The band, currently known as “Special Features”, previously known as “Two Dogs and a Rifle”, has been playing music together on and off for the last two years.
Built around the songs of R.Mckay ,the music has been described as ecclectic,alternative pop.
The band has a catalogue of sixty original currently available to them and are slowly building a repertoire of these tunes,adding in there own individual flavours along the way.Their personal influences include artists as diverse as – Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The clash, Husker Du , Hunters and Collectors as well as the hordes of kiwi bands they have listened to and watched over the years.
Justin played in the Gore band “Isolation Backlash” in the early ninties and then joined R.Mckay and talented drummer Daniel Tawaroa in “Slim Jim and his Amazing Funky Biscuits”.

Special Features hope to play more gigs for the public in the future and hopefully start releasing some material onto cd.
